Bearts Herbal Poultry Feed: Traditional Coarse Mash
We now stock Bearts Traditional Herbal Poultry Feed, which is a traditional coarse layers mash with herb additives.
This is a 16% protein, herb coarse layers mash, with added cider apple vinegar, seaweed, garlic, nettle, mint, dandelion, thyme, rosehips, oregano, and red clover heads. It smells lovely!
This herbal poultry feed is a complete feed mix for your chickens. Use if dry, or add water to make a moist mash. It is a higher level protein than our usual layers pellets without Verm-X. The base mix contains wheat, maize grits, limestone, black sunflower, oats, peas, soya oil, and linseed oil.
During BST, the evenings remain light for so long that some of our chickens refuse to roost until late. Sometimes, this can mean as late as 10pm. Suzanne has been using this mix to encourage the chickens to bed at night, and they seem to love it!
