This raised poultry house with run can hold up to 4 birds (or more, depending on the size of the birds) and is popular for housing bantams.
The raised house maximises the run space to which the birds have access. The base of the Keswick’s run is removable and provides flexibility to remove it allow your birds access to grass, or to use it to keep your birds off the ground and provide warmth in the winter. Access to the house is through a removable front panel that permits access to the house and birds for husbandry; a slide-out droppings tray is provided to make life easier. Two roosting bars are fitted in the house and a pop hole with a ramp is provided to control the birds’ access to the run and house. NB: The external nest box is now fitted on the left panel above the slide-out droppings tray, not at the rear as depicted in the images provided. Access to the run is gained through the hinged removable mesh panel at the front of the run. There is a pop hole with a vertical sliding door to permit free-ranging of the birds if desired. This is a sturdy unit, but it does have carry handles which will allow two people to move it when necessary. If you want something a little bigger, you might like our Grosvenor Junior model. |
